Vincent Carroll of the Denver Post had this column today on the "Clear the Bench" effort to reject the three Colorado Supreme Court justices up for a retention vote this year. Carroll's conclusion: while "Clear the Bench" makes a "compelling" case against Justices Bender and Martinez, it is a mistake to lump Justice Rice in with them: "In its critique of Rice . . . Clear the Bench has let a perfect judge who will never be appointed become the enemy of a good one already on the job."
